“16 Stories Towards Me” is the new international colaboration between Marinaio Teatro (Berlin) and Leonel Henckes (Brazil).

Marinaio Teatro and the brasilian actor Leonel Henckes, have been working together since 2013. Their first collaboration was the performance “The Stranger and Other Ordinary Tales” that took place in Berlin in 2014.
In 2015, they produced and tour the play “FOREST UNDER THE SEA” by Christina Kyriazidi, in Brazil with the sponsorship of the Brazilian Ministry of Culture and the Bahia State Government through the award of FUNARTE.
At the moment, they are working on the project “16 Stories Towards Me”, a solo performance of Leonel Henckes under the direction of Christina Kyriazidi.
It is based on 16 stories, springing from short narratives, true events, song lyrics and poems. Diaspora, love, loss, memory, parenthood, time and travel. A man stepping in himself to find the world.

The performance will open in Berlin in December 2016 and will be further presented in Brazil in 2017.

The crowdfunding intends to cover a part of the production costs.
